Wade Jeffree and Leta Sobierajski aren’t your average couple. They eat together, sleep together, live together, and work together. 

Their studio, Wade and Leta, combines purposeful eclecticism and performative design to create satisfying and emotional visuals ranging from conventional identities to colorfully charged compositions utilizing all disciplines.

Their client list includes Adobe, Bloomberg Businessweek, D.S. & Durga, Google, Gucci, IBM, The New York Times, Refinery 29, Renault, Shiseido, Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, Target, Tate Modern, and UNIQLO among many others.

Wade and Leta have given talks about how not to kill each other at conferences all over the world including North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. Last we checked, they are still very much alive.

1. WHICH HOODIE/S DID YOU DESIGN ? 
Splat and Amoeba

2. WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? 
L: I grew up in the forest of upstate New York—about 4 hours from the city in a tiny town called Jefferson.
W: I grew up in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. A far place from New York where I have been living for 8 years.

3. YOUR STYLE IN ONE WORD? 
Uplifting or positive.

4. ONE THING THAT HELPS YOU STAY CREATIVE? 
Taking time away from our computers or work and trying to focus on something different. That can be as simple as playing a video game or even cooking dinner. It’s really all about taking a break so you can focus when you get back to working.

5. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR JOB? 
Its ability to always push us to try new things, learn more and evolve with the work. Our belief is that life and work are intertwined and we attempt to make sure both inform each other. 

6. WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT NYC? 
Its ability to constantly evolve and provide fresh energy. 

7. THREE PEOPLE YOU WOULD INVITE TO DINNER? (ALIVE or DEAD)
Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO). It’s a Tokyo-based electronic music trio, formed in 1978 by Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiro Takahashi and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

8. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SNACK? 
Homemade hummus and carrots

10. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT SUNDAY
Spending the morning with a cup of tea (for Leta) and coffee (for Wade). We like taking the day slowly, allowing ourselves to get distracted with books, music, and cooking.

11. WHAT KIND OF WORK WOULD YOU LIKE TO FOCUS ON IN THE NEAR FUTURE? 
More sculpture, more installation, and more emotion!

12. WHAT'S YOUR STAR SIGN?
Leta is a scorpio, and Wade is an Aries. Apparently we are meant to be total opposites and not get along?
